As part of every cadet's training, a part will be dedicated to project work which they must be complete during the leading, senior and staff cadet classifications. These projects will consist of a wide variety of activites from squadron to squadron, and below are listed a few which are done at 200 squadron:

Cadets can have the opportunity to put their name down for the squadron modelling club which is done during a parade night. At the wing's activities weekend there is a inter-squadron competition and if successful, the winners can proceed onto the south-west region competition.

Once a month cadets who are in the main squad will part take in Rifle Drill which is an extended version of the basic foot drill that cadets learn as part of their training. Some of other squadrons use L85-A1s or L98-A1s rifles (both different versions of the military SA80 rifle) but some also use .303 inch No 4 Mk I Rifles for drill purpose as does 200 Squadron. Put into practical use, cadets chosen for the rifle team will put on rifle drill displays and also guard of honours for VIPs at local events. Outstanding cadets may also perform rifle drill on Rememberance Sunday on the Torquay or Paignton memorials to commemorate and remember the efforts of the men and women who died during the World Wars.
